A woman in Texas was allegedly dropping off buckets of faeces instead of taking garbage from a police station.
According to KAXN, the suspect is 46-year-old Mindy Stephens, the wife of an assistant fire chief. Last month, she reportedly dropped faeces in front of the Electra Police Department.
Police claim that when an officer went outside to investigate, he discovered three 5-gallon buckets that together weighed 50 pounds and contained what seemed to be faeces. He also saw Stephens approaching an SUV with a trailer while wearing a hazmat suit.
She allegedly told the police she was dropping off buckets of “human s***” when the officer inquired as to what she was doing. According to reports, a Lieutenant watched security tape and identified Stephens’ voice as the culprit.
Police claim they spoke with city officials about the matter and offered to call Stephens to arrange for the pickup of the buckets, but she allegedly declined, saying it wasn’t her responsibility.
Stephens was then accused of breaking the Texas health and safety code as well as illegal dumping, a Class B misdemeanour. She was detained last week but was later freed after paying a $2k bond.
Stephens has already been charged with aggravated assault for using a set of keys to allegedly pierce a man’s hand and arm in 2020.
