Silentó has been arrested after he allegedly invaded a stranger’s house and threatened them with a deadly weapon.
Richard Lamar Hawk, popularly known by his stage name Silentó was taken into custody on Saturday (Aug. 29) when he walked into a random house in Valley Village, Calif. with a hatchet in hand. ABC7 reports that the “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” rapper was trying to find his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, the homeowners and their children, who were at home at the time, were unharmed. According to TMZ, someone in the house screamed for help while others took him and disarmed him. Silentó’s friend arrived shortly afterward and told him it was the wrong house, and they fled.
Later, cops were called, and Silentó was arrested and charged with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Currently, he’s being held on a $250,000 bond with a deadly weapon.
Moreover, Silentó had been arrested previously by Santa Ana, Calif. police after a report of a domestic disturbance. The incident saw the rapper booked and released on a charge of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Silentó’s rise to fame came in 2015 with his hit single “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” which charted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned a viral dance craze.
