Hollywood star, Idris Elba, has clapped back at rumours that he and other celebrities were paid to admit being positive for COVID-19, as a measure for people to take quarantining themselves seriously.
The rumour was carried by Rapper Cardi B, who questioned the level of action taken by the U.S government, in comparison with the level of action taken by the Chinese government. Cardi B went forward to note that some celebrities were paid to admit being positive for COVID-19, and she (Cardi B) would be willing to do the same thing if she would be paid for the stunt.
Just few days after the wife of Idris Elba, Sabrina, tested positive for COVID-19, he took to his Instagram to clap back at persons who share the same thoughts as Cardi B. Idris Elba called that “bullsh*t” and stated that this would hamper people from testing for the virus.
