On a Lower Manhattan subway on Thursday morning, a disturbed man struck a straphanger with a sword sheath, according to police.
According to police, the assault took place at the Chambers Street Station around 9:30 a.m. on a northbound A train.
According to authorities, the perpetrator used the sheath to strike a victim in the head before fleeing.
Police reported that a guy was attacked with a sword sheath at the Chambers Street station.
If the attack was instigated is being looked into by authorities.
Officers from the NYPD Transit Division arrive at the scene of the Chambers Street Station attack.
The victim was given medical attention while wearing bandages on his head.
The victim only sustained minor wounds.
