A County Official Has Been Arrested In Connection With The Death Of A Las Vegas Journalist

Robert Telles, a county official, was arrested Wednesday night during a SWAT operation at his home about the murder of a Las Vegas investigative journalist,

Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German was found dead outside his home, and he was stabbed to death. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has stated it resulted from an altercation he had a day earlier with somebody. German was famous in Las Vegas as an investigative journalist.

Robert Telles has self-inflicted stab wounds, which are not a threat to his life, and his arrest was made after a standoff with police. He was booked into Clark County Jail on a murder charge.

Police, earlier on Wednesday, went to his search his home with a warrant and had to take his vehicle.
LVMPD Sheriff Joseph Lombardo and LVMPD Homicide and Sex Crimes Bureau Captain Dori Koren are expected to hold a press conference on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET.

“We take this situation very critically, and our investigators were working to identify and apprehend the suspect,” Koren had stated. “We enacted our Major Case Protocol without delay following our preliminary response and are using all LVMPD resources to maximise the progress of this investigation.”
